An alternating pressure pad is an excellent option for pressure sore prevention.  Typically used for individuals who are at risk of developing pressure sores while in bed.  The alternating pressure pad sits on top of your bed mattress, and a pump circulates air through rows on the pad.  This helps gently move the patient off of pressure points as they sleep.  Reducing the risk of sores developing and easing the workload on caretakers.
